Cebu Pacific flew 110,000 to Japan in Q1

Cebu Pacific (CEB) said over the weekend it flew nearly 110,000 passengers to Japan in the first quarter of 2024, exceeding pre-pandemic levels by 20 percent and nearly doubling the figures from the same period last year.

“Japan has become a top-of-mind destination for Filipino travelers,” Cebu Pacific said.

“Filipinos visit Japan for its blend of cultural appreciation and modernity – catering to all types of Filipino travelers,” it said.

Cebu Pacific flies from Manila to Osaka, Tokyo (Narita), Nagoya and Fukuoka as well as from Clark to Tokyo

Cebu Pacific continues to provide lowest prices in the market and makes travel easy and accessible for its passengers to attract more Filipino passengers to fly to Japan.

The current lowest one-way base fare is at P1,888 for Narita, exclusive of fees and surcharges.

The airline flies to 35 domestic and 24 international destinations spread across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.

The airline reported a net income of P2.24 billion in the first quarter. up by nearly 108 percent from P939 million in the same period last year.

It posted P25.3 billion in revenue in the first three months, a 21-percent increase from the previous year.

Cebu Pacific served over 5.5 million passengers, marking a 14-percent increase from the same period last year and a 3-percent growth from the preceding quarter.
