Hard Rock Café Manila and Hard Rock Café Makati teamed up with Island Rescue Organization (IRO), a Cebu-based non-profit, non-government organization dedicated to helping the plight of abandoned and rescued animals.

Hard Rock Café donated over P40,000 from its recent Hearts and Tails Campaign to the IRO facility to help pursue the organization’s three pillars—rescue, education and advocacy.

Hard Rock Cafe Philippines joined the worldwide initiative where participating branches were asked to develop an activation plan for animal rescue and welfare. It chose IRO to be its beneficiary and recipient of the cash prize.

“There are so many animals around the world suffering from neglect. Every animal deserves a home where they will be provided with food, water, medical care and where they will be nurtured by loving human presence,” Hard Rock Café Philippines director for operations Brian Peck said.

“We, at Hard Rock Café in the Philippines, have various advocacies including animal welfare. We do our best to make a difference in the world whenever and however we can,” he said.

IRO, founded in 2010, is committed to re-homing animals into loving families and to finding innovative ways to promote long-term solutions to lessen the population of stray dogs and cats.

“Witnessing the heartwarming collaboration between Hard Rock Cafe team in the Philippines and Island Rescue Organization in Cebu is truly a testament to the power of kindness and compassion,” said IRO president and founder Annalyn Aizpuru,.

“Their generous donation not only demonstrates their commitment to helping those in need, but also serves as a beacon of hope for a brighter future where all creatures can thrive. Stray animals live the worst kind of lives on the planet. Every minute, these creatures struggle for their lives. If we can adopt, we will be able to provide a loving home for these animals,” Aizpuru said.
