The 17th edition of IFEX Philippines held from May 10 to 12, 2024 surpassed expectations with initial and unofficial export sales exceeding $165 million, up by 1 percent from $163.29 million generated in 2023.

Organized by the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM), the three-day event drew nearly 10,000 attendees at the World Trade Center, including international and local trade representatives, retail customers and media. Over 500 exhibitors across the Philippines showcased their products, highlighting the country’s diverse food and beverage offerings.

This year’s theme, “salu-salo” (feast), emphasized the collaborative spirit of the Philippine food industry.

CITEM officer-in-charge Ma. Lourdes Mediran highlighted the potential of Filipino food to connect with a global audience and showcase the country’s culinary innovation and export capabilities.
