Vape company Flava Corp. faces a P100,000 fine and a continued ban on its products for allegedly violating the Vape Law, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) said Wednesday.

Flava Corporation and Lilacs Vape Shop were found guilty of selling vape products with flavors that unduly appeal to minors, a practice prohibited under Section 12 of the law, the agency said.

The DTI said it continues its intensified crackdown on the sale and illegal trade of vape products, particularly those marketed towards minors. The Fair Trade Enforcement Bureau (FTEB), an agency the Consumer Protection Group (CPG) of the DTI, ensures increased monitoring in both physical stores and online platforms.

The suspension, aimed at preserving evidence and preventing further violations, remains in effect, it said.
