Cebu Pacific adds flights to Thailand starting July

Cebu Pacific said Thursday it is expanding its operations in Thailand with the launch of direct flights to Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) starting July 16, 2024.

The launch of direct flights to DMK further increases the budget airline’s flight frequencies between Manila and Bangkok to 17 times weekly.

Cebu Pacific flies between Manila and Bangkok through Suvarnabhumi Airport twice daily.

“Bangkok remains one of the most popular destinations in Southeast Asia, with its majestic pagodas, flavorful cuisine, and vibrant cultural festivals,” Cebu Pacific president and chief commercial officer Xander Lao said.

“We are excited to bring more travelers to this beautiful city as we launch our operations in DMK, in our commitment to continuously provide accessible and affordable air travel to every Juan,” he said.

Bangkok is one of the airline’s first international destinations, launching its maiden Manila-Bangkok service in 2006.

Cebu Pacific also operates direct flights between Clark and Bangkok daily.

The airline flies to 35 domestic and 24 international destinations spread across Asia, Australia and the Middle East.

Cebu Pacific earlier reported a net income of P2.2 billion in the first quarter, up 108 percent from the same period last year.

The airline generated P25.3 billion in revenue in the first three months, a 21-percent increase from the previous year.

Passenger business grew strongly, generating almost P18 billion in revenue, which was 25 percent higher year-on-year.

Cebu Pacific flew over 5.5 million passengers From January to March, marking a 14-percent increase from the same period last year and a 3-percent growth from the preceding quarter.
