Medilines Distributors Inc. said Tuesday it renewed its distribution partnership with German health technology company Siemens Healthineers.

The partnership, which will be for another three years, involves the sale and distribution of Siemens Healthineer’s flagship division—diagnostic imaging devices such as CT scans, MRIs and X-rays as well as specialized molecular imaging equipment like PET CTs.

“Our partnership with Siemens Healthineers started in 2016 and is now on its third renewal. This reflects Siemens’ confidence in Medilines’ established name in the Philippine healthcare industry, market dominance, and proven expertise in providing high quality medical devices to hospitals nationwide,” Medilines chairman Virgilio Villar said.

It said that with the new three-year renewed partnership, it expects to retain position as the leading distributor of cancer therapy equipment. The segment, which contributes around P 1 billion to the company’s annual sales, is expected to grow by more than 20 percent this year.
