Vice President Sara Duterte and Chinese Ambassador Jing Quan attended the turnover ceremony for a newly constructed multi-purpose stadium at the Leandro Panganiban Sr.-Tagumpay High School in Pola, Oriental Mindoro on January 12, 2026.
The event highlighted the collaboration among local government, educational organizations, and international partners in improving public infrastructure.
Pola Mayor Jennifer Cruz thanked Vice President Duterte for her attendance and support, pointing out that the new stadium will significantly upgrade local educational facilities to meet the community’s diverse needs.
She also expressed gratitude to Ambassador Jing, praising the project as a landmark achievement in continuing to promote local-level pragmatic cooperation between the Philippines and China.
