The Philippine-Chinese Alumni Association of the Philippines is organizing an essay contest to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and China.
The contest, with the theme “Be dedicated to Philippine and China Friendship, Create A Harmonious Tomorrow Together”, aims to encourage reflection on the enduring friendship between the two nations.
The competition is open to a diverse group of participants, including Filipino-Chinese individuals, overseas Chinese, students and teachers from Filipino-Chinese schools and Confucius colleges, Chinese students studying in the Philippines and employees of Chinese companies in the country.
All entries should be written in Mandarin and take the form of prose, reportage, expository text or narrative, excluding poetry. Essays should be between 2000 and 2500 words in length.
The deadline for submission is set at 5 p.m. on March 15, and all entries should be sent via email in Word or WPS format to xiaoyoulian@hotmail.com.
The contest offers attractive prizes, including a grand prize of P50,000 for the first-place winner, P30,000 each for the second-place winners (two prizes), P20,000 each for the third-place winners (five prizes) and P10,000 each for ten outstanding prize recipients.
The contest provides a unique opportunity for participants to share their thoughts on strengthening bilateral ties between the Philippines and China, with a focus on building a peaceful, cooperative and harmonious future together.
The winners will also get recognition for their contributions to promoting mutual understanding between the two nations.
