PCCCII e-commerce association marks first anniversary

The Philippine Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. E-commerce Association celebrated its first anniversary on May 26, 2024 in Binondo, Manila.

Association president Allan King and founding president Jimmy Ong led the celebration at the 1201 World Trade Exchange Building. The event was attended by president Chen Wenming and honorary presidents Jerry Cua, Wu Bingde and Suen Ming Keung of the Maritime Silk Road Academy, along with director Zhang Shengleng of the Confucius Institute at Ateneo de Davao.

The highlight of the event was the unveiling of the PCCCII E-commerce Training Center, a facility designed to promote education and provide essential knowledge and support for businesses leveraging e-commerce platforms.

King expressed gratitude to the members of the association for their unwavering support and active participation in the development of e-commerce in the region.

Shengleng, representing the Confucius Institute at Huaqiao University, Liming Vocational University and the Confucius Institute at Ateneo de Davao University, extended his congratulations to the Philippine Chinese Chamber for its accomplishments.

Following the unveiling ceremony, a “wishing bottle” activity was held at the Royal Sharkfin Seafood Restaurant.

Participants wrote their wishes for the coming year and placed them in bottles, symbolizing hope and aspirations for the future.

Members who made outstanding contributions to the development of the association were also recognized with commemorative plaques, acknowledging their dedication and hard work.

Representatives from AUB, Lazada Philippines, TikTok, Shopee and DITO delivered congratulatory speeches, highlighting opportunities for collaboration and resource-sharing within the e-commerce industry.
