Filipino-Chinese groups conduct medical mission

The Philippines Chian Association for the Promotion of Peace and Friendship Inc. and Qiaoxing Volunteer Group of Manila, in collaboration with the Manila City Hall, conducted a free medical mission in Barangay 387 and 385 Zone 39 District 3, Quiapo on April 13, 2024.

Led by founding chairman Wang Yong Yi and vice chairman Wu Jun Ren, the groups extended help to about 6,500 residents.

Manila vice mayor John Marvin Nieto participated in the event.

Themed as “Lingkod Manilenyo: Big Medical Mission,” it offered a comprehensive range of free medical services to residents, including children, senior citizens and others.

The services encompassed medical and dental check-ups, medication distribution, minor surgeries, blood sugar screening, urine testing, eye consultations, facial massages, lice removal, haircuts, face painting, as well as arts and viewing activities for the children.

Beneficiaries also had the opportunity to experience Chinese acupuncture and massage services.

Free legal advice and civil registry information services were also conducted.

Anti-rabies vaccine for cats and dogs were available during the mission.

The Philippines Chian Association for the Promotion of Peace and Friendship Inc. and Qiaoxing Volunteer Group of Manila Philippines have been doing charity activities across the country.
