Sika launches new digital tool

Leading specialty chemicals company Sika Philippines Inc. formally launched its latest digital initiative called Sika Retail Management Tool to better serve the needs of its distributors and further expand its business.

The SRM or Sika Retail Management is a platform that enables both Sika and retail distributors to identify and count the point-of-sale or shops, and locate them easily in a map making it easier for information and promotions dissemination.

"In line with the strategic goal to be the preferred partner for building solutions,  Sika is committed to the development of strong distribution partnerships through growth their respective store network," said Alainne Leonardo, target market and marketing head of Sika Philippines.

SRM is a structured system for managing all interaction between Sika and its distributors, that is designed to create more collaborative relationships fostering additional value in terms of quality visit, up to date market information, sell out tracking and promotions cascade and allocation.

"As we work towards customer centricity, we are pleased to inform you of our latest initiative. The SRM Tool will assist SIKA retail distributors in providing support to their respective retail network," said Leonardo .

Sika assured distributors will be able to improve their performance under SRM through continuous improvement of customer service, promotions, merchandising, store visits and management of product placements.

The SRM allows its distributors to become more efficient and transparent internal processes (e.g. standardization) and gives them faster response times (with business partners and customers).

Sika retail distributors will be able to conveniently enroll in future retail programs such as sales clerk incentives or hardware subscription under the SRM.

SRM also allows easier distribution and deployment of marketing collaterals and product samples. It will also help in identifying the growth potential basis for area expansion of retail distributor.

“Sika’s growth is mainly anchored in the success of our partner distributors. SRM is a value add service given to them which is relevant to the challenges brought about by the pandemic. This has allowed us to proactively provide solutions to improve customer touch-points and market monitoring,” said Christophe Lejeune, general manager of Sika.

Sika Philippines, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Swiss-based Sika Group, has been serving the Philippine market since March 1994.  The company is a major supplier of construction products to various market sectors such as cement plants, ready-mix concrete industry, precast concrete factories, building, infrastructure, industrial and residential projects as well as retail stores.
