Vice President Leni Robredo is coming out with her own COVID-19 recovery plan today.

“We will be releasing a video on our COVID-19 recovery plan. This is based on our discussions with the experts, including the epidemiologists, public health consultants, economists and many others,” she said on Tuesday.

“More than anything else, we came up with the solutions based on the actual experiences of our nurses, doctors, employees and the ordinary Filipinos who have bearing the brunt (of COVID-19), sacrificing and grieving,” she added.

She called on her supporters to help the needy amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

“To those who have been with us in our COVID-19 response initiatives, tell your stories. Our plan is not all about promises. It has already been tested and proven that we can do it the right way,” she said.

“We still have to go a long way but we will be together in this fight. No fear, no doubt and we will do it with all the love,” she added.

Meanwhile, media outfit DRZH apologized to Robredo and her supporters in Northern Samar for its report on Monday alleging that organizers of the caravan held on October 30 pocketed funds for the event and that participants complained about their non-payment.

Cesar Chavez, MBC Vice President and Station Manager of DZRH Radio Nationwide & DZRH News Television, posted the apology on his Facebook page late Monday night.

The organizers, who were all volunteers, denied that there were funds involved or that participants were promised payment.

“Everyone who participated spent their own money for their food, drinks, gasoline, and other expenses. Some donated tarpaulins, stickers, banners, ribbons, balloons, snacks and bottled water, but there was no fund or ‘pondo’ that was given by the OVP or any individuals or group of individuals associated directly or indirectly with VP Robredo or her team,” the Leni For President Movement- Northern Samar said in a Facebook post.
