The country’s leading mass housing developer, 8990 Holdings Inc., was named by Pag-ibig Fund as the No. 1 among the top 10 developers in the Visayas and Mindanao.
Lawyer Anthony Vincent Sotto, president and chief executive of 8990, said the two top awards from the Home Development Mutual Fund or Pag-ibig Fund recognized 8990’s mission to continue serving the strong demand for low-cost housing in the Vis-Min regions.
He also lauded the fund for continuing to release home loans to qualified employees and overseas Filipino workers for the past 18 months. Despite the lingering effects of the pandemic, many Filipinos were able to fulfill their dream of owning their dream homes, he said.
The company’s newly installed CEO also feted the brokers, sales agents and homeowners who supported the company’s many projects nationwide. Among the projects in the Visayas that contributed to the company’s outstanding performance are Deca Homes Pavia Resort Residences 1 and 2 in Pavia, Iloilo, and Deca Homes Sta. Barbara Resort Residences also in Iloilo.
Meanwhile, the Deca Homes GenSan 1 project in General Santos City propelled 8990 to bag the top citation for Mindanao.
