Coming from a monumental 2020 after being labeled by Campaign AOY as the country’s “Independent Agency of the Year” and “Creative Agency of the Year,” leading independent ideas agency GIGIL is soaring to even greater heights this year.
GIGIL bagged the gold medal in the International Agency of the Year category of the Small Agency Awards—besting other small agencies outside of the United States—given by global media publication Ad Age.
Earlier this year, GIGIL took home the Bronze award at the 2021 Cannes Lions for its work on RC Cola’s “Family.” YouTube also gave “Family” both the David and Grand Prix awards in the 2021 YouTube Works, describing it as a “unique and refreshing creative.” The campaign has also won two silvers in the AdFest and the AWARD Awards of Australia, while GIGIL’s other work for RC Cola, “Band” won gold in the latter.
The agency’s other award-winning pieces this year include “Dear Pa” for PLDT Home, winning at the 18th Philippine Quill Awards, and “SHOP2GIVE 3” for Unilever, which was given gold at the 2021 Marketing-Interactive PR Awards.
The GIGIL team also celebrated having the most number of Philippine finalists at Spikes Asia, getting shortlisted six times for its work for RC Cola, Padayon, Greenwich, and 7-Eleven CLiQQ.
With over 25 acceptances to Campaign Brief Asia’s “The Work” and 42 finalists in AD STARS 2021, GIGIL definitely has more in store for the rest of the year.
