The no-walk-in policy is strictly enforced in Caloocan city in connection with the start of the implementation of Enhanced Community Quarantine or ECQ today.

For the first dose vaccination, only vaccination passes from the barangay and confirmation of the online appointment are queued and admitted according to their schedule.

Priority will also be given to senior citizens or A2 priority groups to be vaccinated, even if they walk-in.

Members of the Caloocan Police and Caloocan City Public Safety and Traffic Management are on standby to maintain physical distancing from vaccination sites at all times.

Yesterday, August 5, under the directive of Mayor Oscar "Oca" Malapitan, the city began the strict implementation of the pre-listing system in the barangays, along with the launch of the online appointment.

For the pre-listing system, barangays were notified to go house to house or take other measures to list their constituents who wanted to be vaccinated. The barangay will issue vaccination passes for residents according to the allocated slots for their barangay per schedule.

For the online appointment, it is only necessary to select the vaccination site, date and time. There are four vaccination sites for online appointments: SM Sangandaan, Notre Dame of Greater Manila, Caloocan Sport Complex and Metro Plaza Quirino.

According to Mayor Oca Malapitan, if the positive evaluation of the new system continues, it will also be implemented for vaccination in the city even after the ECQ.

"Today, the first day, we see that there is no longer a long queue and it is too early to line up to get vaccinated. Our vaccination sites are doing well and social distancing is being implemented. We want this to continue.
