The oldest Greek-letter Fraternity in Asia based in the University of the Philippines, the Upsilon Sigma Phi, in its continued effort to help create a politically mature and economically stable environment for all Filipinos, will be holding an online event entitled, “Alam ng Isa, Alam ng Lahat: 2022 National and Local Elections” on July 23, Friday, from 2 to 4 p.m. live via Microsoft Teams.
The webinar, aimed at encouraging not only the youth but all eligible Filipino voters to participate in the upcoming 2022 national and local elections, features former Commission on Elections Commissioner Gregorio Larrazabal, the youngest to have held the position when he was appointed in 2009.
“The sanctity of the ballot and the youth’s involvement are very important as these will be the foundation of their future,” Larrazabal said. The former Comelec official will be discussing the value of exercising the civic duty of voting.
Moderating the webinar is UP College of Law Dean Edgardo Carlo Lasam Vistan, while UP Student Regent Renee Louise Co and University Student Council chairpersons of UP Los Baños and UP Mindanao, Siegfried Severino and Andryc Carbonilla, respectively, will serve as reactors.
