While a few stars are transferring networks and some talents are on the verge of leaving their mother studio, Angel Locsin maintained that she will remain as a Kapamilya and won’t leave ABS-CBN no matter what.
“I will stay here because I see it as just right. Especially at a point when it’s going through a lot, I will just be here. I can’t leave my friends here,” she averred.
Her public service program Iba ‘Yan just had its curtain call. And even if she still doesn’t have a follow-up show, she will remain a Kapamilya.
“It doesn’t mean that people should see me on television every day. I’m still okay. I can’t say that I’m that rich already. Perhaps, I became wise enough to save over the years. I have few investments. My family and I can still survive,” she said.
Angel also noted that even though people will not see her on the small screen on a regular basis, she will still be visible via her product endorsements and other platforms.
“I’m also grateful that there are still other ways in which I can earn money. I still have endorsements and I can branch out into other platforms like YouTube. Of course, I’ll be getting married also so I have to concentrate on that,” Angel explained.
Asked about some of her fellow ABS-CBN talents who opted to leave and sought new management or transfer to other TV stations, the actress stated:
“You know, I’m not in the position to judge them. I understand their predicament. They have to earn a living. All of us have our respective paths to trek. I’ll be happy for them if they’ll be able to find work in these difficult times.”

LJ Reyes is happy with the fact that she still remains a Kapuso as she recently inked a contract with GMA Artist Center anew.
“‹“It’s been 16 years going on 17,” she reveals. “I first signed up with them in 2005 and I’m glad to still be with them up to now.”
“‹Considering the span of time she had been with the network, was there a point when she thought of transferring?
“‹“I can’t say that it didn’t cross my mind especially when people asked if I had plans of transferring. But you know, to be honest, in my mind, I didn’t have such idea. Why should I in the first place?
“‹“In all the events in my life, be it professional or personal, GMA has been there for me. They were always supportive. For one, they always gave me projects. So, I don’t have any reason for leaving.”
“‹There are new artists in the Kapuso lot who originally came from rival camps like Pokwang, Beauty Gonzalez and Bea Alonzo. How does she feel about it?
“‹“Somehow, I felt excited. They’re new in the network and many anticipate what they’re going to bring to the table. In my case, I’ve worked with majority of GMA stars and we’re used to each other. I think it would be nice if you’ll get to know new people and get to work with them!
“‹“I’m lucky that on my part, I was able to work with non-GMA stars in my previous movies. If you remember, I was in ‘She’s The One’ which was top-billed by Bea, Dingdong (Dantes) and Enrique (Gil). I also got to work with AlwynUytincgo in ‘The Leaving.’ Then, there’s Janella Salvador and Jerome Ponce in ‘Haunted Mansion.’
“‹“You know, all I want is to work with new people, other stars whom I don’t usually get to collaborate with. I want to have that chance. Now that we have more Kapuso artists in the house, it will be great to do projects with them,” says LJ.
