Over 1,200 residents of Alfonso, Cavite will be getting their own one-story townhomes, thanks to a joint project of the Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC) and the local government there under the Community Mortgage Program (CMP).
The socialized housing initiative, called RS Ville, in Barangay Taywanak Ibaba, came about due to a memorandum of understanding signed by SHFC Cavite branch OIC-manager Amando Mendoza, and Mayor Randy Salamat (shown in photo).
Beneficiaries can choose between a 36sqm or a 40sqm-model, which they will pay monthly for 25 years. SHFC is the lead agency assisting underprivileged communities through shelter financing and development solutions by Building Adequate, Livable, Affordable, and Inclusive (BALAI) communities.
