Agency to launch online consultation on COVID-19

To further help the marginalized sector, the Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor is launching an online medical consultation called “E-Tanong mo kay DOK!” for free health and medical interventions, especially about the COVID-19 pandemic.

Chairman and chief executive Alvin Feliciano said the online consultation could be availed through Facebook messenger, wherein any urban poor could send their messages, questions and other concerns via @PCUPOfficial Facebook page.

The agency’s resident physician, Henefina dela Cruz, is available to reply.

Feliciano, however, gave the assurance to protect all personal information about the patients.

“Most of our countrymen today, especially those severely affected by the pandemic, cannot afford to have a proper check-up or even consult a doctor. Most of the hospitals and quarantine facilities are also fully occupied,” he said.

“This program is also part of our office’s ongoing action to extend support to medical frontliners who are continuously fighting against COVID-19 and to deliver medical attention to our compatriots who would want to consult about their illness.”
