Phoenix rolls out new LPG product line

Phoenix Petroleum Philippines Inc. said Thursday it is introducing a new liquefied petroleum gas product line, making available LPG in small canisters that will lower the entry barrier for low-income consumers during the pandemic.

It said the Phoenix SUPER LPG canister format aimed not only to make the cooking fuel more affordable for Filipinos but also to enhance household safety, as it encouraged users to move away from traditional wood, kerosene, charcoal fuel or single-use butane canisters.

The move seeks to sustain the growth of Phoenix’s market share in the domestic LPG segment, which has proven to be a bright spot despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic with cooking fuel deemed an essential by Filipino consumers, according to Phoenix president and chief executive Henry Albert Fadullon.

“In line with our value propositions of safety, affordability and reliability, our new LPG canister continues to delight Filipino homeowners and help them discover our promise of ‘Sarap Pala Magluto,’” Fadullon said.

The new product, with a capacity of 200 grams of fuel, can provide up to two hours of cooking time depending on its use.
