After weeks of anticipation, singer-songwriter and international pop star Johnny Orlando has released his latest single “I Don’t (with DVBBS)” via Universal Music Canada and Island Records.
For the track, Orlando teamed up with multi-platinum Canadian production/DJ duo, DVBBS (brothers Chris Chronicles and Alex Andre), who count artists like Belly, Blackbear, Dimitri Vegas, Martin Garrix, Steve Aoki, Quinn XCII, Wiz Khalifa, and more among their recent collaborators.
Alongside the release of “I Don’t (with DVBBS)” is the accompanying lyric video unveiled on Thursday.
Following his JUNO Award-nominated sophomore EP It’s Never Really Over, “I Don’t (with DVBBS)” is the first new music from Johnny Orlando in 2021 and just a glimpse of what’s to come.
The vibrant and infectious record pairs Orlando’s effortless and charming vocals with DVBBS’ colorful and groovy sounds—and has all the fixings of a singalong, dance-ready summer hit. “I Don’t (with DVBBS)” explores the familiar, early stages of seeing someone new, not being ready to take it to the next level, and the delicate balance of trying not to tell the other person things that they want to hear when you don’t mean it.
Toronto-born singer, songwriter, and actor Johnny Orlando is this generation’s rising pop superstar impacting a global music stage.
