Their being part of the dizzying and dazzling world of Pinoy entertainment is proof that the saying “one day you’re in, the next day you’re out” is a universal truth.
Ladies with attitude and fellows that are in the groove, let us embrace and welcome 2021 with a “new batch of hopes:”
Charlie Dizon
Anyone who steals the thunder and limelight from superstar Nora Aunor and her supposedly shoo-in best actress win, truly deserves the top spot. In her breakthrough role in Fan Girl, Dizon became the MMFF’s belle of the moment.
The cast of Gameboys
These young actors, collectively, are a force to reckon, individually, they shine like diamonds. Take a bow URIAN and FAMAS best actor and CNN Philippines Actor of the Year Elijah Canlas, the reluctant Cairo, Kokoy de Santos, the insouciant Gavreel, Adrianna So, Queen Fag Hag Pearl, Kyle Velino, Terrence the Terrible, Miggy Jimenez, and Wesly the Flip Flopper and Kych Minemoto.

Now that she tests the waters in the longest-running primetime drama led by superstar Coco Martin, FPJ’s Ang Probinsiyano, she’s more than ready to film the current television incarnation of Mars Ravelo’s Darna before it hits the silver screen. Anyone given the opportunity to shout “Ding, ang bato, dali!”is for sure to ascend to superstardom.
XavMi and the PangPang couples
Fanatics went ballistic when the photos of Tony Labrusca and JC Alcantara—as Hello Stranger’s Xavier and Mico—share the same bed made rounds online. These photos were followed by the two, half naked in board shorts of course, while they hold hands on the beach. Meanwhile, Ian Pangilinan and Paolo Pangilinan, of the Gaya Sa Pelikula fame are giving their fans more kilig than they’re supposed to get. Reports have it that the two are taking their partnership to the next level, from reel to real. No acting anymore.
BINI
The eight-member girl group wows with their rendition of the Smokey Mountain classic and Maestro Ryan Cayabyab-composed song “Da Coconut Nut.” Consisting of Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Sheena, and Jhoanna, these pretty young misses are bubbly, chirpy and can make you sing and dance with them.
Jessica Villarubin
The Clash Season 3 followers proclaim that finally, the singing competition has discovered the one most likely to become a sensation. Keann Johnson
Adrian Lindayag’s love interest in the successful MMFF boys love drama The Boy Foretold By The Stars is a delish dreamboat and a heartthrob that fills you with kilig. His good looks, gentlemanly demeanor, and yes, the fact that he speaks the King’s language with an American twang, gives him more beautiful boy points.
Sarah Edwards
Everyone loved her as Yana in the BL drama Ben X Jim. In the series, she is the damsel distressed by the fact that her boyfriend Jim, played by Jerome Ponce, dumps her for Ben, portrayed by Teejay Marquez. She speaks in a lovely, colegiala sing-song manner who gives life to the character “who acted like a lady till the end and was the last to know.”
Kira Balinger and Grae Fernandez
The millennials are hooked and root for the two upstarts, who give justice to their characters named Hope and Jake, respectively. Undeniable on-screen chemistry, acting abilities on point and the fact that they are eye candies make them everyone’s favorite onscreen pair.
Migs Almendras
The ALIW Award-winning lead actor scores much praise with his heartfelt portrayal of the young Rey, who became the seasoned Michael de Mesa. As JunJun Sandico, one of the young Padawans in Hello Stranger, all hope that he will be the Hua Ze Lei in Mico’s life in the silver screen version.
