Citi Philippines rolls out dining and shopping deals

The risk of exposure to the coronavirus disease has made people opt for food delivery and online shopping. But after several months into this still ongoing lockdown, many are now eager to engage in pre-pandemic activities like dining out or shopping physically in stores.

With the easing of protocols and the Christmas season, Filipinos are slowly doing the activities they used to enjoy before the pandemic.

In support of the reopening of the economy, Citi Philippines treats its credit card customers to dining and shopping deals, which in turn aims to help the hard-hit retail and restaurant industries.

SHOP AND DINE. Citi Philippines treats its credit card holders to exciting dining and shopping deals.

“Since March, when the country faced the challenges of COVID-19, Citi Philippines

has worked hard to support its clients, employees, and the community. We want to

assist Citi credit card holders in every aspect of their life, whether that’s dining in their favorite restaurants safely or shopping online,” said Citi Philippines consumer business head Manoj Varma.

Divided into three categories, the Fine, Finer, and Finest deals and experiences include discounts up to 50 percent, as well as other promotions, some of which are available until next year.

“We have over 100 dining partners with over 500 outlets nationwide. We know that our customers will not always eat out, but many would still like to enjoy eating from the safety of their homes so these promotions are open for take-out on top of dine-in options,” shared Citi Philippines cards and loans director Mukul Sukhani.

Citi customers may enjoy Fine Delights which include up to 30 percent discount at casual dining restaurants in Makati, Taguig, Ortigas (Mandaluyong, San Juan, and Pasig), Quezon City, Pasay, and Alabang. The discount can be availed at Bo’s Coffee, Yellow Cab, Pancake House, Hap Chan, Tim Ho Wan, and more.

Finer Dining Experiences, meanwhile, include curated dining promotions at up to 50 percent off at upscale establishments such as Makati Shangri-La’s Circles and Shang Palace, Edsa Shangri-La’s Heat, Sheraton’s Oori and S Kitchen, and Melo’s.

The Fine Delights offer up to 30 percent discount at casual dining establishments, while the Finer Dining Experiences include curated promotions at up to 50 percent off at upscale establishments.

Finally, the Finest Deal, which started in 2019 and is set to continue until March 27, 2021, offers 50 percent off every Saturday at any The Bistro Group restaurant for a minimum bill of P2,000 and a maximum of P5,000.

On the other hand, cardholders looking for delivery deals on weekends can get 10 percent off  on foodpanda once every Friday to Sunday until Dec. 20 for a minimum spend of P800, with a maximum discount of P250.

“We also partnered with foodpanda which delivers from over 30,000 restaurants in the country. No other bank is able to provide the same exclusive and real-time access to so many merchants, with highly competitive promos and offers,” said Sukhani.

In addition to dining discounts, Citi’s Online Weekend Offers give cardholders access to the “most rewarding online deals” on major e-commerce companies such as Lazada, Metromart, and Zalora.

A variety of deals are offered across several categories like grocery and essential goods, household items, clothing, small appliances and gadgets.
