President Rodrigo Duterte has approved the appointment of a new city prosecutor in Makati City and 36 other prosecutors at the Department of Justice.
Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra said Dindo Gotanco Venturanza has been promoted to Makati city prosecutor.
Venturanza took over the position of former Prosecutor General Jorge Catalan Jr. who has since retired.
The 36 other newly-appointed prosecutors have been assigned to various posts at the DOJ’s National Prosecution Service headed by Prosecutor General Benedicto Malcontento.
The NPS is under the administrative supervision of the Secretary of Justice.
