Educational publisher Rex Bookstore recently donated over 4,000 books worth more than P2 million to public schools in Atimonan, Quezon to address the shortage of learning materials in the coastal municipality.
Over 20 schools received the distance learning tools, part of A1E’s community program for education amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
Other activities in the holistic learning endeavor are technical and vocational scholarships, improvement of educational facilities, and provision of school supplies.
A1E is the developer of the country’s first ultra-supercritical coal-fired power plant in the country.
The 2×600-MW plant will be built in Atimonan, and is targeted to be the Philippine’s most efficient baseload power plant when it starts operations.
