Santa Rosa City — Mayor Arlene Arcillas, together with city officials, met Narvacan, Ilocos Sur Mayor Luis Chavit Singson and Charissa May Singson, President and CEO of Gracia Telecommunications Corp., to launch the Gracia Telecom Automated Payment Machine (APM) at City Hall here.
Arcillas said the APM is part of the city’s campaign to minimize the movement of people amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The payment machine was turned over by Mayor Singson, who is president of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines, on Saturday, September 26.
Charissa May Singson said: “With APM, people can make online payments of utility bills, prepaid load, withdraw and deposit money, remittances and even government taxes and services. Gracia Telecom will also provide debit cards to residents for free.”
Arcillas said: “Initially the first APM is now installed inside the city hall lobby that employees and visitors can use. Soon APMs will be installed in strategic locations in some Barangays in Santa Rosa.”
“This effort is part of the city’s campaign to minimize the movement of people amid the COVID-19 pandemic,” Mayor Singson said.
