Draper Startup House and Draper University announced this week that they are partnering to spearhead the launch of online entrepreneurship courses with an offline learning experience to help entrepreneurs across the globe.
The course is furnished with content from Silicon Valley’s expert investors, executives, and entrepreneurs, activities that foster collaboration among diverse-minded entrepreneurs, access to mentorship from industry leaders, and a pre-seed funding opportunity.
Draper Startup House, which launched its Manila location last January, has been disrupting the hospitality model by utilizing physical hostel beds to aggregate global talent and creating true value through building a larger business ecosystem. The initiative adds to their current list of programs that it hopes would contribute towards the development of startup ecosystems around the world and to connect, inspire, and empower one million entrepreneurs worldwide by 2030.
While the program is available online, Draper Startup House's offer includes add-ons such as accommodations for the duration of the program, membership to their online global community, and discounts to their services for no additional cost.
Vikram Bharati, Founder of Draper Startup House International, shares, "We are thrilled to collaborate with Draper University to turn all our Draper Startup House locations worldwide into micro-campuses. This combination of both an online and offline education experience is exciting because it may be the way forward on how education will be delivered in the future, at scale globally. Together with Draper University, we will accelerate our mission of enabling 1 million entrepreneurs by 2030."
Draper University, founded by Venture Capitalist Tim Draper who invested in companies such as Tesla, SpaceX, Twitter, Twitch, and Skype, is an immersive entrepreneurship program that helps bright minds grow their network in Silicon Valley. The certificate program features 15-nights of live online learning sessions, 50 Silicon Valley mentors and experts, and a cohort from 30 different countries. Benefits include an official certificate of completion, access to The Draper Venture Network, connections with Silicon Valley investors and mentors, investment opportunities, and a chance to pitch to Tim Draper and other investors.
"The future of humanity has always rested on the shoulders of those who build against all odds. Draper University and Draper Startup House are collaborating to find these entrepreneurial heroes. Come join us and let's build the future together," said Andy Tang, CEO of Draper University.
Interested applicants must avail of the program through Draper Startup House. The next cohort begins on Oct. 12. For more updates, please visit academy.draperstartuphouse.com or e-mail marrione@draperstartuphouse.com.
