The technical working group of the House committee on legislative franchises has recommended the denial of ABS-CBN's franchise application.
According to Deputy Speaker Pablo John Garcia, the TWG “determined that the likely consensus among members of this committee is to disapprove the application of ABS-CBN for another franchise.”
At least 85 lawmakers – 46 members of the committee and 39 ex-officio members – will vote on the TWG findings.
