AGG extends P603-m help to fight COVID-19

Alliance Global Group Inc. of businessman Andrew Tan has donated P603 million to various efforts in the country’s fight against the novel coronavirus pandemic since the start of the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine on March 17.

The Alliance Group along with subsidiaries instituted projects to help both government and other organizations in protecting Filipinos from the spread of the virus. It donated P100million to Project Ugnayan, which was used to distribute food vouchers to thousands of urban poor families in Metro Manila.

It also donated P250 million worth of disinfectant alcohol to various hospitals, local government units, government agencies and organizations throughout the country.

Property unit Megaworld Corp. contributed P60 million to Philippine Red Cross for the purchase of four brand new COVID-19 test laboratories that can conduct around 10,000 tests per day.
