Ayala Malls is expanding its Trinoma shopping mall in northern Metro Manila with a new 40,000-square-meter retail and office wing that connects directly to the Unified Grand Central Station.
The new wing, called The Exchange at Trinoma, positions the mall to capture increased commuter flows and support long-term retail growth in the northern corridor of the capital.
The project adds new capacity for brands seeking high-visibility locations, with the first northern location of ABC-Mart Grand Stage already confirmed.
The direct integration makes Trinoma the only mall in Quezon City connected to the MRT-3, MRT-7 and LRT-1 train lines. The site also links to UV Express vans, bus terminals and point-to-point shuttle services.
“Trinoma’s expansion reflects strong, sustained demand from both retailers and consumers in Quezon City,” Ayala Malls chief operating officer Paul Birkett said.
“By combining transport connectivity, a stronger tenant mix, and targeted upgrades to the customer experience, we are positioning Trinoma for continued relevance and long-term growth,” he said.
Opening later in 2026, The Exchange at Trinoma functions as an intermodal hub with transit access. The expansion comprises approximately 12,000 square meters of retail space, 4,000 square meters of office space, and a dedicated parking and transit terminal.
The government targets full completion of both the Unified Grand Central Station and the MRT-7 line by 2027.
Ahead of the opening, Ayala Malls completed targeted interior upgrades within the existing Trinoma structure to increase visitor dwell time and support stronger retail performance.
The company upgraded the mall’s Activity Center with a high-impact LED screen, refreshed its interior design, and enhanced its open garden spaces.
The developer also expanded its dining options to include H Proper Coffee Roasters, Little Flour, Pizza Sisters, and Burnt Bean, with Key Coffee, Chili’s and Cibo scheduled to open soon.
It expects these improvements to support a wider range of marketing activations, community events and casual dining occasions, reinforcing the company’s strategy of strengthening assets in high-growth, high-connectivity locations.
