GMA-7 allotting P350m to workers and talents

GMA Network Inc. on Tuesday said it alloted P350 million to support its employees and rolled out various efforts to help frontliners, and Filipinos in need during the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Gozon-led broadcasting network, which recently announced it would provide financial assistance to Kapuso employees, talents and support personnel, earmarked an estimated P350 million to cover the salaries, cash equivalent of rice benefits and cash advances while operating on a skeletal work force and adapting to special work arrangements.

GMA, which airs on free TV channel 7, also said talents and project employees would still be able to receive their salaries on March 25 and 30, respectively.

In addition, a cash advance will be made available for them for their April 10 and 15 payouts.

GMA Kapuso Foundation the broadcast giant’s socio-civic arm, also launched the ‘Labanan ang COVID-19’ campaign for the workers at the front lines in the fight against COVID-19.
