“We’re excited to launch Smilee Apparel, a one-stop-shop where people can come to buy their shirts for personal use, company uniform, all available in different styles, sizes, and colors. It was our goal and dream ever since to have our own brand. The family business has been here for more than 40 years, manufacturing fabrics, but we never had our own branch. Search for first Mr. & Ms. Cosmos Philippines
The first-ever Mr. and Miss Cosmos 2020 pageant kicked off with the start of online screening of applicants, single or married men and women, 20 to not more than 45 years old. The search, which focuses on promoting space awareness, is produced by New Space Age, Inc. and is being presented by the Prime Event Productions Philippines (PEPPs) Foundation, owner of the Man of the World and producer of the annual Misters of Filipinas search.
The Mr. and Ms. Cosmos organization and New Space Age, Inc., in partnership with PEPPs Foundation, aims to intensify national awareness of the growing space industry through a series of events during the National Personality search.
“There are so many pageants that promote different causes but none for Space Education and Cosmos Awareness which are a huge help for natural disaster risk countries like the Philippines,” said Don Moral, owner of New Space Age, Inc.
“As early as 1960’s, there were efforts for a joint US – Philippines Space Program to monitor storms in Asia but up to now, we are still lagging behind because of the lack of interest for “Space Technology and Awareness,” Moral explained.
The winners of Mr. and Ms. Cosmos Philippines 2020 will be the country’s representatives in the upcoming Mr. and Ms. Cosmos 2020 Finals, which will be joined by international delegates.
