A growing number of pet owners now treat their dogs and cats like carry-on companions, and Tavo is betting on that shift with a new travel essential designed for both the road and the runway.
The pet protection brand from the makers of Nuna has launched the Dupree in the Philippines, an airline-compliant carry-on that also functions as an impact-tested pet car seat, offering Filipino pet owners a safer and more seamless way to travel with their animals.
Built for use in cars and aircraft cabins, the Dupree features steel-reinforced ISOFIX latches that lock directly into a vehicle’s seat anchors, allowing quick installation without a separate base. The carrier is designed to slide under most airline seats, though owners are advised to check airline weight limits, which vary.
The Dupree II model comes with all-around mesh panels for ventilation and visibility, a structured base to prevent sagging, and roll-down doors that secure with magnetic holders for easy access. Practical details include a duffle-style handle, a trolley sleeve for resting on luggage, and zippered pockets for treats and travel essentials.
For comfort, the carrier includes two removable, machine-washable mattress pads and a wipeable inner tray. Its fabrics are naturally flame-resistant, free of chemical fire retardants, and rated UPF 50+ for sun protection, with vegan leather accents for added durability.
Safety features include a memory foam guard designed for side impact protection, locking zippers, and an interior leash attachment. The Dupree has undergone dynamic testing benchmarked against the United Nations ECE R129 child restraint standard.
The Dupree II is recommended for one small pet weighing up to 9 kilograms. It measures 47 x 29 x 26 centimeters on the outside, weighs 2.72 kilograms, and is available in Onyx and Merle.
