As 2025 drew to a close, Alaska Milk Corporation (AMC) delivered targeted relief and nutrition support to communities affected by recent natural disasters across Cebu, Catanduanes, and Pampanga, translating its commitment to affordable and accessible nutrition into concrete action on the ground.
In Cebu, AMC partnered with the Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) to support relief operations in Mandaue City following the severe flooding caused by Typhoon Tino. Through PBSP, 500 food packs containing Alaska products were distributed across ten of the most affected barangays, helping families meet immediate needs as recovery efforts continued.
AMC’s corporate affairs and legal team led the initiative, with corporate affairs and legal director Cashmer Dirampaten and corporate communications and dairy development manager Wendell Balderas providing on-the-ground support. AMC also acknowledged Mandaue City College for hosting the repacking and distribution, with faculty and student volunteers providing strong support.
Complementing these efforts, AMC’s Zone 4 Sales Team conducted a separate outreach in Cotcot, Liloan, Cebu, another area heavily impacted by Typhoon Tino, with damage compounded by an earthquake that struck the province in late September.
In December 2025, the activity delivered food and essential support to more than 1,000 affected families, with sales director Jill Que and Zone 4 sales lead Jacky Quilantang working alongside cross-functional teams in a coordinated response that underscored AMC’s swift and sustained support for communities hit by successive disasters.
In Catanduanes, AMC continued to deliver measurable gains in child nutrition even amid post-disaster recovery. Following Super Typhoon Uwan, the company donated 750 boxes of Alaska Fortified Powdered Milk Drink to Virac Central Elementary School.
Since AMC adopted 200 undernourished learners in 2024 under its School-Based Milk Feeding Program, the number of undernourished students has declined to 78 as of December 2025, a 61 percent reduction in just over a year. With this progress, the school has transitioned from targeted feeding to universal feeding augmentation, allowing milk distribution to its more than 400 students.
School officials also reported reduced absenteeism and strong parental participation, reinforcing the impact of sustained, school-based nutrition interventions.
In Pampanga, AMC volunteers, alongside Dirampaten, Maricris Connie Pua, and Josie Arboleda, conducted outreach across six barangays in San Simon, reinforcing the company’s commitment to ensuring nutrition and care reach the most vulnerable communities.
AMC emphasized that the company’s corporate initiatives remain guided by bayanihan and partnership to sustain nutrition and community resilience in times of need.
