St. Francis Cabrini Medical Center marked the Christmas season with a hospital-wide celebration featuring 700 Tampipi Meals from Binalot, honoring healthcare frontliners while bringing together Filipino flavors, community impact, and support for local livelihoods and sustainable practices.
The Tampipi Meals are Binalot’s latest innovation – an elevated take on the classic Binalot, presented in handwoven tampipi containers lined with fresh banana leaves. The packaging blends tradition with modern convenience, making it well-suited for institutional and corporate gatherings.
The meals are available in three variants – liempo sinugba, chicken sinugba, and daing na bangus, each complete with java rice, pancit, fresh vegetables, and the traditional salted egg and tomato pairing.
The offering reflects Binalot’s response to growing demand for food that is both thoughtfully prepared and responsive to cultural innuendoes, allowing organizations to celebrate milestones while staying true to Filipino values.
The initiative also highlights the expansion of Binalot’s DAHON Program (Dangal at Hanapbuhay para sa Nayon), which now supports women-led communities in Laguna producing the eco-friendly tampipi containers, alongside its long-standing partnerships with banana leaf suppliers. Each handwoven piece provides sustainable livelihood while preserving indigenous craftsmanship.
By choosing Tampipi Meals, St. Francis Cabrini Medical Center extended the impact of its celebration, contributing to a broader network of community partners. Designed for reuse, the tampipi containers further reinforce Binalot’s commitment to sustainability.
