DOLE says Soccsksargen job fairs hire exactly 1,680 workers in 2025

THE Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) disclosed that 1,680 jobseekers were hired on the spot during job fairs in SOCCSKSARGEN in 2025, highlighting the impact of government-led job initiatives in accelerating employment across the region.

DOLE-Region 12 said the omn-site placements were recorded during 81 job fairs conducted throughout the year in partnership with local government units through their Public Employment Service Offices (PESOs).

A total of 1,529 employers from various industries participated in the fairs, offering immediate a wide range of employment opportunities and enabling faster hiring decisions for qualified applicants.

Held in key cities and municipalities in the region, the job fairs served as a direct labor market intervention that connected jobseekers with employers, reduced job search costs, and shortened recruitment timelines. In total, 27,160 jobseekers were assisted during the employment activities.

DOLE acting regional director Raymond Fel  Sajor said the number of hired-on-the-spot applicants underscored the effectiveness of close coordination with LGUs and PESOs in matching workers with available jobs.

“Through strong partnerships with LGUs, PESOs, and government agencies, we are making employment facilitation more inclusive, accessible, and impactful, with immediate hiring as a key outcome,” Sajor said.

The job fairs also featured one-stop shop services with partner government agencies, allowing applicants to access social protection programs, livelihood assistance, and labor rights information on-site, further supporting their transition into employment.
