Asian Aerospace Corp, is investing P243.2 million to expand its operations in Clark, positioning the Freeport as a primary base for nationwide aviation safety and technical services.

CDC President and chief executive Agnes Devanadera and Asian Aerospace chief executive Peter Rodriguez formalized the agreement to strengthen the aviation ecosystem in the region.

The expansion is designed to meet rising industry demand for specialized engineers, technicians and safety personnel.

Devanadera said the maintenance of aircraft components is critical to saving lives and remains a vital service for both the Philippines and the international aviation market.

Rodriguez cited the company’s role in national infrastructure, noting that Asian Aerospace has been calibrating 87 airports across the Philippines for the past four administrations.

He said aerodromes could not operate safely without these calibrations.

Beyond calibration, the Clark facility will serve as an aircraft factory service center. The site will support avionics, environmental control systems and aircraft components.

These high-value operations require long-term training and certification, which Rodriguez said helps build in-country capability and provides stable jobs for Filipino workers.

He said that in addition to its work with the government on airport rescue and firefighting equipment, the company maintains a fleet of business jets and helicopters.

Established in 1996, Asian Aerospace has operated in Clark since 2002 and acts as an authorized service center for several global aircraft manufacturers.
