Party-list groups serve hot meals to 7.5k students

Tingog party-list joined other member-lawmakers of the Party-list Coalition Foundation Inc.’s Batang Malusog: Child Nourishment program where they served hot and nutritious meals to over 7,500 students at the Manuel L. Quezon Elementary School in Quezon City on Thursday.

In his message, Tingog party-list Rep. Jude Acidre underscored the role of nourishment in shaping children’s confidence and capacity to learn, as well as the strength that comes from unified action among party-list groups.

“With every meal we bring to our school, with every strength that is returned to their bodies, we give them a new opportunity to grow and reach their dreams. Because young people who are full and ready to learn are young people who have confidence, have a voice, and have the ability to be leaders of the future,” he said.

The initiative was sponsored by Tingog, FPJ Panday Bayanihan, and Nanay party-list groups

“When Congress comes together, we can better ensure that no child is left behind in development,” Acidre added.

Tingog initiatives like Batang Malusog highlight the impact of a united Party-list Coalition — groups with diverse advocacy working with a shared purpose to support Filipino learners.
