Party-list group sets off school feeding program

THE Partylist Coalition Foundation Inc., led by Talino at Galing ng Pinoy party-list Rep. Jose “Bong” Teves as president, on Thursday launched a “new brand of political advocacy centered on direct service delivery.”

The initiative, called “Batang Malusog: Child Nourishment Program,” was rolled out at the Manuel L. Quezon Elementary School in Quezon City, geared at combatting classroom hunger and help reinforce children’s health and learning capacity.

“The event was very heart-warming, from the welcoming march to the students greeting us, and their smiles truly made us feel warmth. I also hope everyone enjoyed the food and filled their tummies,” Teves noted.

Apart from serving hot meals to over 7,600 students, the organizers also distributed school essentials including a Smart Board Interactive television, medicines, and hygiene products.
