Pablo lands among FILSCAP’s Top 5 composers

SB19 leader Pablo continues to make waves in the music industry after earning recognition from the Filipino Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (FILSCAP).

According to Billboard Philippines, Pablo, whose real name is John Paulo Nase, was named one of FILSCAP’s Top 5 composers, joining OPM heavyweights Rico Blanco, Jim Paredes of APO Hiking Society, Lito Camo and Vehnee Saturno.

Pablo has long been credited as the creative force behind SB19’s biggest hits, including “Gento,” “Mapa,” “Dam” and “Dungka.” His lyric-writing and production style have helped shape the rise of P-Pop on the global stage.

Outside the group, he has been equally active as a solo artist. Last year, Pablo released the double album “Alon” and “Laon,” and even served as one of the judges on “The Voice Kids Philippines.”

FILSCAP, founded in 1965, is the Philippines’ official music public performing collection society. The organization renewed its partnership with GMA Network last October to further protect music rights.
