Customs seizes P800k kush in ‘Labubu’ boxes at Port of Clark

THE Bureau of Customs (BOC) has intercepted 538 grams of high-grade marijuana, or “kush,” valued at approximately P807,000 at the Port of Clark, Pampanga.

The illegal drugs were found concealed inside a parcel declared as “keychains” shipped from Hong Kong and was bound for Biñan, Laguna.

The parcel arrived last Nov.15 and was flagged by the BOC’s X-ray Inspection Project (XIP) after suspicious images appeared during routine scanning.

A subsequent physical inspection revealed two boxes labeled as “Labubu” keychains. Inside each box were two transparent sealed pouches containing dried leaves and fruiting tops suspected to be high-grade marijuana.
