The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) has reaffirmed its commitment to upholding the Constitution and maintaining non-partisanship during a solemn gathering at the AFP Grandstand in Camp Aguinaldo, joined by prominent religious leaders from across the country.
Led by AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo Brawner Jr., the assembly brought together soldiers and faith leaders in a show of unity and shared purpose at a time the institution described as “overshadowed by challenges and disinformation.”
During the event on Sunday, AFP personnel renewed their oath to defend the State, its people, and the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Bishop Noel Pantoja of the Philippine Council of Evangelical Churches (PCEC) delivered an impassioned prayer, invoking strength and guidance for the men and women of the AFP.
General Brawner also reminded the troops to honor their oath—serving with professionalism, honor, and integrity, remaining loyal to the Constitution, and letting the rule of law guide their every action.
“In a time overshadowed by challenges and disinformation, the AFP stands firm, unshaken in its mission and unwavering in its resolve. It remains the nation’s shield—disciplined, principled, and resolute in defending democracy. Strengthened by faith and purpose, we rise and remain united,” AFP said.
