The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported a minor phreatomagmatic eruption at Taal Volcano on Wednesday, November 12.
In a Facebook post, PHIVOLCS indicated that the eruption occurred between 6:51 a.m. and 6:54 a.m., producing grayish plumes above the Main Crater of the volcano.

Alert Level 1 remains in effect for Taal Volcano, signaling abnormal activity but indicating that there is no imminent eruption.
The agency also advised the public to stay vigilant and urged them not to enter Taal Volcano Island, especially the main crater and the Daang Kastila fissure, due to the risk of sudden hazardous events.
To recall, Phivolcs recorded the last phreatomagmatic activity at Taal on October 25 and 26.
