Discovery Capital Finance Corp. (DCFC) and fintech firm Kredit Hero Inc. have formed a strategic partnership to expand financing access for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and advance financial inclusion across the country.
The collaboration merges Discovery Capital’s lending expertise with Kredit Hero’s digital technology and nationwide reach, enabling a faster, more accessible financing process for entrepreneurs.
The joint effort is expected to increase market visibility for both firms and provide tangible support for existing and potential borrowers, strengthening communities and advancing the government’s nation-building goals.
DCFC president Diosdado Salang Jr. said the partnership goes beyond business growth and reflects a shared commitment to nation-building. “We are incredibly excited about this partnership with Kredit Hero Inc. This is about extending a crucial lifeline to our entrepreneurs and the communities they serve,” Salang said.
The companies will expand their hybrid footprint by linking DCFC’s six nationwide physical branches with Kredit Hero’s online platforms to reach a greater number of SMEs.
A key focus will be to target unbanked and underbanked clients, who are often excluded from traditional lending systems. This alliance aims to improve the borrower experience through faster loan processing and decision-making.
Both companies said the intention is to simplify access to formal financing for SMEs, which are often constrained by limited capital and to reinforce efforts to promote inclusive economic development nationwide.
The partnership will also support local economies by channeling capital to community-based enterprises, generating jobs and sustaining business growth.
