LTFRB orders fast action on complaints amid Undas exodus

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) on Friday ordered all regional directors to act fast on all complaints and concerns raised through Hotline 09567610739, as millions of Filipinos hit the road for the observance of All Saints’ and All Souls’ Days.

The LTFRB hotline was further strengthened in line with the instruction of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to maximize government services to the Filipino people.

LTFRB chairperson Vigor Mendoza II said he saw the need for the agency to be responsive and act fast on the complaints of the commuters since all of them are related to road safety and discipline of drivers.

Earlier, a bus company and its driver were summoned by the LTFRB for trying to evade accountability when it sideswiped a motor vehicle in Quezon City. Mendoza said the complaint was immediately acted as soon as it was received.

“We will change the old system of taking so much time before the complaints of our ordinary commuters have been addressed. We cannot stay on just like this under the Bagong Pilipinas,” the LTFRB chief said.

“Through our LTFRB Hotline, we will be able to show to the Filipino people that we are more responsive to address their complaints and concerns. We in the LTFRB should use this platform to showcase what the men and women of LTFRB could do in the service of the Filipino people,” Mendoza emphasized.

He vowed to personally monitor compliance of every regional office in relation to the complaint resolution rate that are coursed via the LTFRB hotline and other platforms.

Even if there are no long weekends, Mendoza assured the LTFRB will remain responsive to the concerns of the Filipino commuters. He urged the public to report to the LTFRB any abusive driver of public utility vehicles through the hotline.
