Globe expands network in Davao

Globe Telecom Inc. has completed network rollouts in several fast-growing barangays in Davao City, bringing stronger connectivity to more households and enterprises.

The Ayala-led telecommunications company announced that new cell sites and upgrades were finished in Catalunan Grande, Manambulan, 30-C, 15-B, Talomo, Lizada, Sto. Niño and Ladislawa Buhangin. Demand for mobile and internet services has risen sharply in these communities in recent years.

Globe’s strengthened 5G presence allows customers in Davao City to experience faster and more reliable connectivity. The new towers are part of the company’s broader strategy to deliver reliable connections to both highly urbanized centers and emerging neighborhoods.

The upgrades are designed to support various activities, including online sales for small businesses, e-learning for students, mobile banking, telehealth consultations, and entertainment such as streaming and gaming. Visitors to the city will also benefit from stronger coverage for navigation and cashless transactions.

“With these upgrades, small businesses can handle online sales and manage social media without worrying about dropped connections,” Globe said in a statement.

“Students and teachers benefit from stronger bandwidth for e-learning and research,” it said.
