Former Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Nicolas Torre III dismissed rumors that he plans to run for vice president.
“I don’t think that’s on the horizon because I wouldn’t even know how to go about it… I was PNP chief for only 85 days — if I become VP, maybe I’d last just 84,” Torre said in a radio interview on Friday.
He has been on leave since his relief as police chief on August 26. During his break, he is organizing a fun run against bullying on November 16 in Santa Rosa, Laguna.
“From my personal experiences, from childhood until now, that became the basis for this advocacy,” Torre said.
The former top cop added that he has yet to decide on his next move once his leave ends on October 31, noting there are still no updates on reports that he is being considered for another government post.
Aside from his advocacy work, he confirmed he is set to testify in court on October 23 in connection with the cases involving Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) leader Pastor Apollo Quiboloy.
