“The Philippines is especially vulnerable to natural disasters, and Canada stands with its people as they face the impacts of these recent disasters. This support will help provide some relief, and we will continue to explore additional ways to help as needed,” he said.

Of the total funding, $350,000 (approximately P14.4 million) will be allocated to World Vision Canada, a member of the Humanitarian Coalition, to provide relief items, emergency shelter, protection services, and water, sanitation, and hygiene services through the Canadian Humanitarian Assistance Fund.

An additional $250,000 (approximately P10 million) will support the Philippine Red Cross’s ongoing relief operations in Cebu through the Emergency Disaster Assistance Fund, which is administered by the Canadian Red Cross.

The remaining $50,000 (approximately P2 million) will be allocated to Angat Buhay (Angat Pinas Inc.) to aid local initiatives and relief operations in Cebu, helping to distribute dignity and hygiene kits and emergency shelter.
