Class suspensions have been announced in several regions, citing the recent earthquakes and influenza-like illnesses (ILIs).
Meanwhile, classes across Metro Manila have largely resumed after the Department of Education (DepEd) National Capital Region (NCR) ordered a two-day class suspension as a preventive measure against ILIs.
In Marikina Elementary School, for instance, students and teachers were seen wearing face masks following the break.
The school also participated in Global Handwashing Day activities as part of its efforts to improve health and hygiene.
