Filipina beauty queen Anita Gomez finished as first runner-up at the Miss Asia Pacific International 2025 pageant held on Oct. 8 in Cebu.
Brazil’s Isabela Fernandes took home the crown, while Thailand’s Bowonrat Maneerat, Belgium’s Jana Janssens, and the Netherlands’ Delilah Elmira Wildeboer completed the Top 5.
Before placing second in the finals, Gomez won Best in Swimsuit and placed second in the evening gown competition. During the final question-and-answer portion, she highlighted the inspiring stories of her fellow contestants, saying, “Each one of us carries a story and power that can positively impact the world.”
She added, “Winning is not just about winning. Sometimes, it’s about experiencing the challenges… and realizing that we’re all here with a purpose, on our own transformational journey.”
Gomez represented the Philippines after being crowned Miss Asia Pacific International Philippines 2025 during the Miss Grand Philippines competition in August.
